• Every year, Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Day is celebrated on 27th June to recognize the contribution of these industries in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Archer Deepika Kumari Becomes World No. 1

• Star Indian archer Deepika Kumari regained the number one position in global rankings following her hat-trick of gold medals at the World Cup Stage 3 here.

• Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment launched the website for the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) on International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (26th June).

PM Shri PV Narasimha Rao Remembered

• Narasimha Rao was an Indian lawyer and politician who served as the 10th Prime Minister of India from 1991 to 1996.
• He has been credited with steering India during the Financial Crisis of 1991-92.
• 73^rd and 74^th was passed during his tenure.

29th meeting of Group of Ministers (GOM) on COVID-19

• Dr Harsh Vardhan chairs the 29^th GOM and reiterates importance of COVID Appropriate Behavior as States unlock in a calibrated manner.
• While 46.5 per cent of adults in the US have been fully vaccinated, India has vaccinated only 4 per cent of its population so far.

Statistics Day to be Celebrated Across India

• The Government has been celebrating the Statistics Day, to popularize the use of Statistics in everyday life and sensitize the public as to how Statistics helps in shaping and framing policies.
• It has been designated as one of the Special Days to be celebrated at the national level and is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Late Prof. P C Mahalanobis, on 29th June, in recognition of his invaluable contribution in establishing the National Statistical System.
