  1. Combined Defence Services (CDS) Entry:
    The CDS examination, a sought-after route for many, is conducted biannually by the Union Public Service Commission. This competitive exam recruits for various institutions, including the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and notably, the Indian Air Force Academy.

  2. NCC Special Entry:
    Candidates with an Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ Certificate of NCC have a distinct edge. This entry pathway caters to both male and female aspirants. While men can attain a Permanent Commission, women are awarded a Short Service Commission.

      • Age between 20-24 years; 26 years for those with a Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA.
      • A minimum of 60% in Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level.
      • Graduation (or pursuing) in Engineering from a recognized University with at least 60% marks.
      • Clearance of Section A & B examinations from Institute of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% is also acceptable.
  3. AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) Exam:
    Conducted biannually, AFCAT is for those vying for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Flying Branch or Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches. It is a prime opportunity for millions across India.
