In a related issue, Trump’s campaign has also faced breaches from Iranian hackers linked to the Basij paramilitary force, who leaked internal campaign discussions. The U.S. Department of Justice has indicted three Iranian hackers for these actions, emphasizing the ongoing threat of foreign interference in the U.S. electoral process.
  • The FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) confirmed on October 25 that they are investigating unauthorized access to U.S. telecommunications infrastructure by Chinese-affiliated actors.
