In a significant display of commitment to humanitarian efforts, Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar inaugurated a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp and a Voluntary Organ Donation Pledge Camp at Rangapahar Military Station in Nagaland. This event was organized in collaboration with the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research based in Dimapur, with the primary goal of raising awareness and encouraging participation in crucial medical donations that can save lives.
The event attracted a substantial turnout, with over 105 individuals stepping forward to donate blood, thereby demonstrating their dedication to altruism and community welfare. In addition to blood donations, more than 30 participants pledged to donate their organs, officially registering with the National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO). This act of generosity signifies a commitment to a cause that has the potential to significantly impact the lives of many individuals in need of transplants.
