39 Nursing Cadets Graduate as Officers in Military Nursing Service at CHAFB, Bengaluru

In a significant ceremony reflecting pride and achievement, 39 nursing cadets proudly graduated from the College of Nursing at Command Hospital Air Force (CHAFB), Bengaluru, as they formally joined the ranks of officers in the Military Nursing Service (MNS). The Passing Out Parade (POP) was presided over by Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Kaushik Chatterjee, Commandant of CHAFB, who reviewed the parade. The newly commissioned officers took their solemn oath of service, which was administered by Brigadier Vijayarani, Principal Matron of the institution.

The College of Nursing at CHAFB is recognized as a top-tier educational facility under the Indian Air Force, dedicated to providing comprehensive nursing education and experiential training. Founded in 1968 and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the college offers a four-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Nursing program. This curriculum equips cadets with the necessary skills and knowledge for a challenging yet fulfilling career in military healthcare.

Training at the college encompasses both theoretical and practical components, ensuring that graduates develop proficiency in nursing, emergency care, and medical management in various settings, including high-pressure operational and peacetime environments.
