Major General Rohit Mehrotra, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 61 Sub Area, recently visited the Rashtriya Military School (RMS) Dholpur, where he conducted a thorough review of the school’s facilities, engaged with cadets, and underscored the significance of discipline, perseverance, and excellence in the development of future military leaders.
During his visit, Maj Gen Mehrotra evaluated the school’s academic and training infrastructure, with an emphasis on ensuring that RMS Dholpur maintains its longstanding tradition of excellence in leadership and character formation. Established in 1962, RMS Dholpur is one of five premier Rashtriya Military Schools in India, dedicated to preparing young cadets for a career within the armed forces.
In his interactions with the cadets, Maj Gen Mehrotra stressed the vital importance of discipline and camaraderie in military training, reinforcing the school’s guiding motto, “Sheelam Param Bhusanam” (Character is the highest virtue). He encouraged the students to stay focused on their academic goals, military training, and personal development, which aligns with the institution’s mission to cultivate leaders characterized by resilience and a strong sense of commitment.
Additionally, the General Officer recognized exceptional cadets for their accomplishments in academics, sports, and leadership endeavors, motivating them to aim for even greater achievements. His motivational remarks echoed the Sapta Shakti Command’s dedication to holistic development, leadership training, and the preparation of future officers for service in the Indian Armed Forces.

RMS Dholpur, located within the historic Kesarbagh Palace in Rajasthan, covers an expansive 264 acres, featuring top-tier infrastructure, rigorous academic programs, and comprehensive military training. The school adheres to the CBSE curriculum from Class VI to XII and offers extensive National Cadet Corps (NCC) training along with various extracurricular activities and defense entrance exam preparation, thereby ensuring a well-rounded education for its cadets.
