In a significant achievement for educational empowerment, thirty-eight students from remote villages in Arunachal Pradesh have successfully cleared the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination. This remarkable feat is attributed to a dedicated free coaching initiative led by the Indian Army, specifically the Gajraj Corps. The students, originating from the border areas of Jang and Dirang in West Kameng district, are being celebrated for their success as a pivotal step toward inclusive development in the region.
The coaching program, which was actively organized by the Army’s Gajraj Corps, ran from July 2024 to April 2025. Its primary focus was to bridge the educational gap faced by children residing in isolated border villages that often lack access to quality academic resources. Out of the 44 students who participated in this initiative, an impressive 38 qualified, illustrating the effectiveness of targeted educational intervention and support.
The coaching regimen encompassed rigorous academic training alongside motivational and personality development sessions. Army instructors provided mentorship characterized by discipline, structure, and encouragement.
