The NCC Officers’ Training Academy in Gwalior marked a significant milestone with the celebration of its Diamond Jubilee Passing Out Parade (POP). The event was presided over by Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, who serves as the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command.

During this momentous occasion, 131 Lady Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) were sworn in after successfully completing a rigorous training program. This year’s parade not only commemorated the dedication of the academy but also emphasized the exemplary contributions of women to the nation’s defense and social fabric over the past six decades.

Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth lauded the discipline and resilience demonstrated by the newly commissioned ANOs. He pointed out the increasing importance of women in both societal roles and within the Armed Forces. In his address, he elaborated on the critical contributions of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in nation-building, particularly in cultivating values like character, courage, and integrity among the youth.

The Army Commander encouraged the newly inducted ANOs to take on their responsibilities as instructors seriously. He urged them to shape cadets into responsible citizens and principled leaders, who would ultimately become the future defenders of the nation. Lt Gen Seth called on these officers to leverage their training not just for personal development but also to mentor younger generations actively. He linked their mission to the broader vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, an initiative aimed at achieving a developed and prosperous India in the coming decades. The celebration underscored the continued commitment of the NCC to inspire and lead young minds towards a brighter future.
