Here’s a 30-Day Timetable & Routine for a Serving Defence Personnel Preparing for SSB Interview. It balances service duties, physical readiness, and psychological preparation while recognizing your limited free hours due to duty commitments.

Morning (Before Duty – 5:00 AM – 7:00 AM)

  • Day 1–30 (Daily Routine)
    • 5:00 – 5:15 AM → Warm-up & stretching
    • 5:15 – 6:00 AM → Running (3–5 km, progressive) or interval training
    • 6:00 – 6:30 AM → Strength & endurance (push-ups, pull-ups, squats, planks, rope skipping)
    • 6:30 – 6:50 AM → Breathing & meditation (to improve focus and stress control)
    • 6:50 – 7:10 AM → Quick revision of newspaper headlines & defence news
    • 7:10 – 7:30 AM → Breakfast & freshen up before duty

Evening (Post-Duty – 7:30 PM – 10:00 PM)

Focus on Officer Like Qualities (OLQs), current affairs, and psych prep.

  • Day 1–5 → PIQ (Personal Information Questionnaire) writing practice, personal life story introspection.
  • Day 6–10 → Psychology practice (SRT – 15/day, TAT – 2/day, WAT – 20/day).
  • Day 11–15 → Group Discussion topics (self-practice aloud or with peers), reading defence magazines.
  • Day 16–20 → Mock Personal Interview questions (self-recording & refining answers).
  • Day 21–25 → Outdoor task strategies (PGT, HGT, Command Task – draw rough plans, watch videos for ideas).
  • Day 26–30 → Full Mock SSB practice cycle:
    • Day 26 – Psych Tests (WAT, SRT, TAT)
    • Day 27 – GD + Lecturette practice
    • Day 28 – PIQ revision & PI answers
    • Day 29 – GTO task strategy discussion
    • Day 30 – Final review + relaxation

Daily Night Reflection (10:00 – 10:20 PM)

  • Write a short reflection journal:
    • What did I learn today?
    • Which OLQ did I show during duty?
    • What improvement can I make tomorrow?

Weekly Focus

  • Week 1 → Self-introspection + Psych basics
  • Week 2 → Psychology test mastery + PI preparation

  • Week 4 → Full SSB simulation + personality refinement
