A rigorous 24-week-long training programme for Young Officers (YO) of the Army Air Defence (AAD) recently concluded at the distinguished Army Air Defence College (AADC) in Gopalpur on October 7, 2025. This comprehensive course was specifically crafted to provide officers with in-depth tactical and technical proficiency on the latest air defence systems. The curriculum included advanced training on modern radars, artillery, and missile systems essential for contemporary aerial defense.
The programme placed a significant emphasis on disruptive and innovative technologies, enhancing the officers’ ability to counter evolving aerial threats. By integrating technology-driven applications with technical knowledge and tactical strategies, the training aimed to ensure the nation’s airspace remains secure in the face of future challenges.
As a testament to the exceptional performance exhibited during the training, Lt Bhunesh Dagar was awarded the esteemed Silver Gun Trophy, while Lt Jatin Kalia received the Commandant’s Trophy. Both officers were honoured by the Commandant during a ceremonial closing event, acknowledging their outstanding achievements in what is widely regarded as a demanding training regimen.
