In a strategic move to enhance India’s defenses along its eastern borders, Lieutenant General Manraj Singh Mann, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Trishakti Corps, recently undertook a visit to forward areas in East Sikkim. This visit aimed to review operational preparedness and assess ongoing capability development initiatives in a region of significant strategic importance.
During his time in the field, Lt Gen Mann engaged directly with troops stationed at high-altitude posts, expressing commendations for their professionalism, dedication, and readiness despite the challenges posed by difficult terrain and extreme weather conditions. The morale and operational effectiveness of the forces were highlighted, showcasing their commitment to national security.
The GOC also focused on ongoing infrastructure enhancement projects designed to improve mobility, surveillance, and overall combat effectiveness along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
