The Army Air Defence College (AADC) in Gopalpur has officially launched its Young Officers’ Course aimed at newly commissioned officers of the Army Air Defence (AAD). The program commenced on 22 October 2025 and includes participants from friendly foreign nations, specifically Cameroon, Malawi, and Namibia. This inclusion underscores a commitment to fostering military cooperation and knowledge sharing among India and its allied countries.
Spanning a duration of six months, the course is designed to evolve these young officers into adept air defence warriors, proficient in addressing contemporary aerial threats. Participants will engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes rigorous training, theoretical academic sessions, simulations, and live exercises. This multidisciplinary approach will provide them with in-depth knowledge of air defence systems, radar technologies, missile operations, and command procedures.
At the heart of the training are experienced instructors from AADC Gopalpur, who will mentor the officers and refine their skills in leadership, tactical decision-making, and operational excellence. This structured training is aimed at ensuring that the officers are thoroughly equipped to protect the nation’s airspace with precision and professionalism.
