General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), recently conducted a visit to the Kharga Corps to assess its operational preparedness and strategic initiatives. The visit served as an opportunity for the General to gain insights into various projects designed to enhance the formation’s combat readiness while integrating advanced technologies and promoting inter-agency coordination.
During his visit, General Dwivedi received a comprehensive briefing on the Kharga Corps’ ongoing initiatives that focus on combat innovation, force readiness, and technology integration. The discussions highlighted the current developments in digital logistics systems, artificial intelligence-enabled decision-making tools, as well as advancements in drone design and training modules. There was a particular emphasis on initiatives aimed at improving synergy between defense sectors and civil domains, marking significant progress in how the Corps operates.
Praising the efforts made by the Kharga Corps, the COAS commended its display of exemplary performance during Operation Sindoor. He acknowledged the formation’s pioneering innovations in drone technology, as well as effective advancements in logistics and management. General Dwivedi also highlighted the Corps’ outreach initiatives aimed at supporting veterans and their families, as well as humanitarian assistance efforts conducted under Operation Rahat. His remarks further emphasized the importance of continuing to foster Military-Civil Fusion for Sustainable Security.
In a motivational interaction with officers, junior commissioned officers (JCOs), and soldiers, General Dwivedi expressed admiration for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to national service. He stressed the necessity for continual adaptability, operational vigilance, and innovation to maintain an advantage in the face of evolving conflicts.
