SBI CME Soldierathon 3.0 Concludes with Record Participation and Inspiring Displays of Patriotism

Pune, November 2025 — The third edition of the SBI CME Soldierathon 3.0 concluded with remarkable success, bringing together serving soldiers, veterans, wounded heroes, families, and citizens in a celebration of fitness, patriotism, and solidarity.

Organised by Fitistan – Ek Fit Bharat in partnership with the College of Military Engineering (CME) of the Indian Army, the event served as a vibrant tribute to the Fit India Movement, initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. It effectively merged discipline, endurance, and national pride into one unified platform.

This year’s Soldierathon set a new record with 8,720 runners competing across four categories: the 21 km Half Marathon, 10 km Run, 5 km Run, and a Cheer Buddy Category. Participants included not only soldiers but also families, civilians, and fitness enthusiasts, all coming together to promote health, unity, and respect for the armed forces. The event embodied the spirit of “Run for Soldiers, Run with Soldiers.”

In a gesture of gratitude towards India’s heroes, Soldierathon 3.0 donated ₹5,00,000 to the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) in Kirkee, supporting the welfare and rehabilitation of injured soldiers and veterans. This initiative highlighted the collective appreciation for those who have dedicated their lives to the nation’s security.

A standout feature of this year’s events was the launch of SENA, a purpose-driven lifestyle initiative aimed at empowering wounded soldiers, supporting military families, and fostering a sustainable wellness community. SENA seeks to bridge the gap between armed forces and civilians, promoting shared values of fitness and resilience.

For the first time, the event also hosted the National Half Marathon Championship, where elite runners competed alongside defence personnel and civilians. In a fiercely contested race, CTW CME Pune emerged victorious, securing the Team Championship Trophy with an average finish time of 1 hour, 22 minutes, and 19 seconds, along with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000.

Winners were honored by Lt General Ramesh, Commandant of CME Pune, who praised the exceptional performances of all participants and emphasized Soldierathon as a venue where “fitness meets patriotism.”

Shri G.S. Rana, Deputy Managing Director of SBI, commended the smooth execution and overwhelming participation, calling the event a true reflection of India’s unity, service, and fitness revolution.

The organisers expressed their gratitude to Team CME, defence personnel, volunteers, sponsors, ambassadors, and pacers for making Soldierathon 3.0 a resounding triumph. As the sun set over CME Pune, each participant took home not just medals, but also cherished memories of courage, camaraderie, and the unyielding spirit of the Indian soldier, reiterating the event’s mission — “Run for Soldiers. Run with Soldiers.”
