In a significant advancement for India’s border security, Indrajaal Drone Defence has unveiled the ‘Indrajaal Ranger,’ marking the country’s first fully mobile, AI-enabled Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV). This innovative vehicle is specifically designed to detect, track, and neutralize hostile drones while on the move, providing a crucial response capability amid increasing threats from cross-border drone activities.

The Indrajaal Ranger has been engineered to surmount the limitations typically associated with static anti-drone systems. This mobile solution enables real-time patrolling, autonomous threat assessment, and instant interception of drones, which is becoming increasingly important as drone-based smuggling operations escalate. Reports indicate a dramatic rise in such activities involving the smuggling of weapons and narcotics, with estimates suggesting that these operations, often linked to external entities like the ISI, could be worth as much as ₹3 lakh crore. In just this year, numerous Pakistani drones have already been neutralized, underscoring the growing scale of the threat.

Kiran Raju, CEO and Founder of Indrajaal, emphasized the mission-driven nature of this innovation, stating, “Each drone neutralized translates to lives protected and India’s internal security strengthened. This is our primary mission—to defend freedom.” The ADPV is designed to provide comprehensive coverage across various terrains, including border roads, canals, agricultural areas, urban environments, and critical infrastructure locations. This capability is augmented by Indrajaal’s SkyOS autonomy engine, a sophisticated platform that integrates multi-sensor intelligence to facilitate real-time decision-making.

Lt Gen Devendra Pratap Pandey (Retd), who attended the launch as the Guest of Honour, commended the technology, highlighting its role as a vital shield for frontline defenders and vulnerable border communities. “Technologies like this are not just machines—they are shields protecting our children, our farmers, and our future,” he remarked.

The introduction of the Ranger is anticipated to significantly disrupt the logistical and financial networks of criminal and extremist groups that rely on drone-based supply lines. This disruption is expected to enhance not only national security but also the safety of communities situated along the border.

Indrajaal, which has already showcased extensive operational capabilities with its advanced counter-UAS systems, is positioned for expanded deployment following its recent certification from the ARDTC, paving the way for broader application of this groundbreaking technology in securing India’s borders.
