The Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala celebrated its 26th Convocation Ceremony on November 28, 2025, highlighting its ongoing commitment to cultivating the next generation of naval leaders. A total of 87 Midshipmen from the 109th Indian Naval Academy Course were awarded Bachelor of Technology degrees, including ten international cadets from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Bangladesh. The ceremony was graced by the presence of proud parents, as well as Vice Admiral Manish Chadha, AVSM, VSM, the Commandant of INA, and various academy officers and instructors.

The graduating Midshipmen specialized in three engineering streams: Applied Electronics and Communication Engineering (AEC), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME). The B.Tech program at INA, affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi, has equipped these officers with a robust foundation in critical engineering principles, analytical skills, and operationally relevant technical expertise. These competencies are vital for serving in a modern navy that relies on advanced maritime systems and engages in network-centric warfare while continuously adopting new technologies.

During his address, the Chief Guest congratulated the graduates and their families for their dedication and perseverance throughout their training. He also commended the faculty and staff for their unwavering commitment to excellence and led the newly commissioned officers in the Convocation Oath. The event also recognized outstanding performers, including Midshipman Vishnu KK (AEC), Midshipman Rishav Kumar (ECE), and Midshipman Arjun Singh (ME), who each received the Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy for best academic performance.

This convocation ceremony signifies the beginning of a new chapter for the graduating officers, who are set to embark on careers in the Indian Navy and allied nations. They are now prepared to uphold the highest standards of service, leadership, and technological competence in the maritime field.
