Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva, the Chief of Staff of Headquarters Surya Command, recently visited the 510 Army Base Workshop to assess its critical functions in providing base-level engineering support to the Indian Army. During the visit, Lt Gen Sachdeva praised the personnel for their outstanding contributions to depot-level maintenance of strategic assets across all three branches of the armed forces. He particularly noted the workshop’s increased focus on indigenisation, which aligns closely with the national goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat. This initiative aims to decrease reliance on foreign equipment and boost self-sufficiency in defence production.
