The Malignant Diseases Treatment Centre of Army Hospital (Research & Referral) has made significant strides in oncology care, gaining recognition at the ESMO Asia Congress 2025 in Singapore. During the event, which took place from December 5 to December 7, Major Ramneek Kaur represented the centre and secured the prestigious Best Poster Award in the Model of Care category.
The distinguished study presented by Major Kaur examined the effectiveness of psychological interventions aimed at alleviating the fear of cancer recurrence and enhancing life satisfaction among survivors. The research findings underscore the increasing importance of structured psychosocial care as an integral component of comprehensive survivorship management, indicating a progressive shift towards holistic approaches in cancer care.
Beyond this accolade, the Army Hospital (R&R) had several other scientific papers presented at the international gathering, all of which received commendation from global experts in the field. This recognition reflects the hospital’s dedication to clinical excellence and evidence-based practices.
