Air Marshal B Manikantan, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Air Command, recently conducted an Operational Readiness Inspection at Air Force Station Agra over the course of two days. The inspection, which took place from December 22 to 23, 2025, aimed to evaluate the operational preparedness and capabilities of the airbase.
Upon arrival, Air Marshal Manikantan was greeted with a ceremonial Guard of Honour, a tradition that underscores the significance of the occasion. During this visit, he undertook a thorough assessment of various aspects of the base’s operational capabilities. This included a review of both ongoing and recently completed infrastructure developments, as well as recent enhancements to the station’s operational capabilities.
The Air Marshal engaged in discussions with key personnel, praising their professionalism and dedication to maintaining high standards of mission readiness. His interactions underscored the importance of teamwork and commitment to the operational goals of the Indian Air Force.
Accompanying Air Marshal Manikantan was Dr. Nirmala T Manikantan, the President of the Air Force Families Welfare Association (AFFWA) at the regional level. Dr. Manikantan focused on assessing the welfare initiatives implemented through AFFWA at the base, emphasizing the significance of supporting the families of personnel.
The delegation also took the opportunity to visit Air Force School Agra. This visit allowed them to interact with both students and staff, where they acknowledged the school’s dedication to education and the holistic development of its students.
In concluding the inspection, Air Marshal Manikantan expressed his appreciation for the high level of operational readiness demonstrated by the station. He reiterated the Indian Air Force’s commitment to preparedness, ongoing infrastructure modernization, and the welfare of its personnel, highlighting the crucial role these elements play in maintaining operational excellence.
