In a significant official engagement, Surgeon Vice Admiral Arti Sarin, the Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), conducted a visit to the Karwar Naval Area, where she met with Rear Admiral Ravnish Seth, the Admiral Superintendent. This visit was focused on evaluating the medical facilities and services provided to personnel stationed at the naval base.
During her time at the Karwar Naval Area, Vice Admiral Sarin undertook a comprehensive review of crucial medical facilities, including the Dockyard Dispensary, the MI Room at INS Kadamba, and the Submarine Medical Centre. Her assessments included a thorough briefing on patient care services and the extent of medical support available to operational units, alongside an evaluation of various preventive healthcare initiatives currently being implemented.
As part of her interactions, the DGAFMS engaged with a range of medical professionals including Medical Officers, Medical Assistants, PCW workers, and civilian support staff.
