Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, the Army Commander of Eastern Command, recently conducted a visit to the Trishakti Corps, focusing on the operational situation and readiness in the region. His visit aimed to assess the current state of preparedness and the initiatives in place to bolster the defense capabilities of the formation.
During the briefing, Lt Gen Tiwari was provided insights into the operational environment of the formation, detailing readiness levels and ongoing projects that aim to enhance defensive strategies. This comprehensive review is part of the Army’s broader commitment to maintain high operational standards and preparedness in the region.
A significant part of the visit included an assessment of the newly established Trishakti FabLab and Operational Simulation facilities. These cutting-edge installations are intended to foster innovation and integrate advanced technologies within the formation. The FabLab is at the forefront of developing emerging technologies, including drones, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), artificial intelligence, and mechatronics. Notably, the facility also emphasizes in-house drone production capabilities, which empower soldiers to develop indigenous technological solutions addressing various operational challenges.
Lt Gen Tiwari expressed his appreciation for the initiatives taken by the formation, commending their professionalism and operational excellence. He emphasized that such innovative approaches align with the Indian Army’s strategic objectives under the ‘Decade of Transformation’ and the ‘Year of Tech Absorption’. These initiatives aim to integrate advanced technologies while promoting self-reliance in defense capabilities.
