On March 24, 2026, Air Marshal S Shrinivas, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Training Command, made an official visit to Air Force Station Jalahalli, accompanied by Mrs. Sunita Shrinivas, the President of the Air Force Families Welfare Association (Regional).
Upon arrival, Air Marshal Shrinivas received a ceremonial Guard of Honour, marking the significance of the occasion. He was welcomed by Air Commodore Rohit Bhargava, the Air Officer Commanding of the station, who introduced him to key personnel instrumental in the station’s operations.
In a speech to Air Warriors, Defence Security Corps (DSC) personnel, and civilian staff, the Air Marshal stressed the critical importance of maintaining high training standards, discipline, and a robust ethos. He highlighted that mission preparedness is essential for achieving operational excellence, reiterating the Indian Air Force’s ongoing commitment to these values.
The visit also included an inspection of various training institutes and facilities at Jalahalli. Air Marshal Shrinivas conducted a windshield tour of the station and its lodger units, taking stock of the overall infrastructure and readiness levels. This hands-on assessment underscored the significance of rigorous training and a state-of-the-art environment in ensuring that personnel are well-prepared for their roles.
In a move that further demonstrated a commitment to inclusivity, Air Marshal Shrinivas visited Mitti Café, an initiative operated by specially-abled individuals. He praised the café as an inspiring example of creating an inclusive and empowering environment that highlights the potential of individuals regardless of their challenges.
The visit served to reinforce the Indian Air Force’s dedication to excellence in training, operational readiness, and fostering a socially inclusive atmosphere, aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness and morale of its personnel.
