The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a corrigendum regarding the notifications for the NDA & NA Examination-I 2026 and Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination-I 2026. This announcement introduces significant modifications to the representation process for candidates, enhancing their ability to contest questions and answers.
Under the newly revised guidelines, candidates are now permitted to challenge both question papers and provisional answer keys. This marks a substantial shift from the previous policy, which only permitted objections to question papers. The objective of this change is to foster greater transparency and fairness in the examination process.
Alongside this expansion of the objection scope, the objection window has been adjusted from a flexible 7-day period to a fixed 5-day timeframe. The window will open on April 18, 2026, and will remain available until April 22, 2026, closing at 6:00 PM.
The provisional answer keys will be made available on April 16, 2026, allowing candidates a short period to review and prepare their objections before the submission deadline.
Candidates are now required to submit their representations solely through the official UPSC online portal, specifically at upscnline.nic.in under the Examinations section. The Commission has made it clear that objections sent via email, post, or hand delivery will not be accepted, and no correspondence will be entertained after the initial submission. Furthermore, late submissions beyond the stipulated 5-day window will not be considered for evaluation.
These revised rules apply equally to both the NDA & NA Examination-I 2026 and the CDS Examination-I 2026.
This initiative is part of UPSC’s commitment to promoting transparency, fairness, and accountability in its examination processes. It gives candidates a structured opportunity to challenge official answer keys, thereby potentially impacting their final evaluations and results.
Aspirants are strongly encouraged to stay updated by regularly checking the official UPSC website. They should carefully verify the question papers and answer keys and ensure that any valid objections are submitted within the prescribed deadline. This update is critical for candidates, as timely and accurate representations can significantly affect the final outcome of their examinations.
