The prescribed age range for TES-57 is:

  • Minimum Age: 16ยฝ years
  • Maximum Age: 19ยฝ years

The TES-57 selection process consists of multiple stages:

According to the notification, the training structure includes:

  • 3 years at the Cadet Training Wing (CTW)
  • 1 year at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun

After successful completion of the training, candidates are commissioned into the Indian Army as Lieutenants and enter technical branches for engineering-related roles.

The source also states that a stipend of โ‚น56,100 per month is provided during the period at IMA.

Why TES is Important for Class 12 Students

TES provides a direct pathway for eligible Science-stream students who want to pursue an engineering-oriented military career. Since JEE (Main) performance and PCM marks play an important role in shortlisting, aspirants need to maintain strong academic performance while simultaneously preparing for the SSB process.

Candidates should therefore focus on:

  • Strong PCM fundamentals
  • JEE (Main) preparation
  • Communication skills
  • General awareness
  • Leadership qualities
  • Psychological preparation
  • Physical fitness
  • SSB-oriented personality development
