Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), presided over the Training Command Commanders’ Conference-2025 held at the Headquarters Training Command (HQ TC) in Bengaluru on 23–24 October 2025. This two-day event convened senior commanders and key officials to discuss the evolving landscape of air force training and outline strategies to enhance the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) future capabilities.

The conference primarily focused on the transformation of the IAF’s training philosophy, ensuring its alignment with ongoing operational and technological advancements. Key discussions emphasized the modernization of training infrastructure, the integration of simulation-based learning, and the adoption of next-generation training tools, all aimed at equipping air warriors to tackle the challenges posed by multi-domain warfare. Commanders engaged in dialogue about enhancing jointness and interoperability, stressing the importance of synergy between training establishments and operational commands for improved mission readiness.

In a comprehensive review of various training establishments within the Training Command, the CAS commended the dedication to excellence demonstrated by both instructors and trainees. He highlighted that operationally oriented training remains a critical element of the IAF’s combat preparedness. The Air Chief Marshal further emphasized that training institutions are instrumental in shaping future air warriors, cultivating leadership skills, and instilling a professional ethos across all ranks.

In recognition of exemplary performance, the prestigious ‘Pride of Training Command’ Trophy was awarded to the Air Force Academy (AFA) in Dundigal for its outstanding contribution to training officer cadets and its relentless pursuit of excellence in developing the next generation of air warriors.

Concluding the conference, the CAS stressed the imperative for adaptive, innovative, and technology-driven training approaches to address the demands of modern warfare. He applauded the leadership at Training Command for their ongoing transformation efforts in the training framework and urged all formations to remain dedicated to the IAF’s vision of becoming a “future-ready and combat-capable” force.
