Security forces successfully intercepted an armed individual near the International Border (IB) in the Pargwal area of Jammu district on Friday, averting a potential security breach in this sensitive region.
According to officials, the individual, identified as Abdul Khalik, was apprehended by alert personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF) during their routine surveillance operations. At the time of his capture, he was reportedly found in possession of a weapon, a detail confirmed by a senior police officer involved in the case.
Following his arrest, Khalik was transferred to the Police Post Pargwal under the jurisdiction of the Police Station Khour for further legal proceedings and thorough investigation into his motives and activities.
This incident highlights the ongoing efforts and heightened vigilance of security forces stationed along the International Border, particularly in light of an increase in infiltration attempts and cross-border movements.
