In a significant event held in Shimla, the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) hosted its annual Investiture Ceremony, celebrating the exceptional contributions of individuals and institutions within the Indian Army’s comprehensive training ecosystem. The ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, who presented a series of prestigious awards aimed at recognizing excellence across various categories.
Three esteemed training establishments were honored with Financial Excellence Awards for their outstanding financial planning and strict adherence to fiscal norms. The recipients of this accolade included the Military College of Material Management (MCMM), the Counter Insurgency Jungle Warfare School (CIJWS), and the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME). This recognition underscores the commitment of these institutions to maintaining high standards of financial governance and operational efficiency.
In support of the Army’s digital transformation initiatives and the promotion of sustainable practices, the e-Office Excellence Awards were bestowed upon the Armoured Corps Centre and School (ACC&S) and MCMM. These institutions were recognized for their successful implementation of paperless documentation systems, thereby leading the way in fostering an environmentally responsible organizational culture.
The ceremony further highlighted the Army’s emphasis on innovation and self-reliance, particularly in line with the national ambition of achieving Viksit Bharat. Nine young innovators from leading training institutions were honored with Technical Excellence Awards for their significant contributions to research and technological advancements.
