The recent Attestation Parade for the 6th Batch of 116 Agniveer Tradesmen was held at the No. 1 Technical Training Wing, Army Medical Corps (AMC) Centre & College in Lucknow. This ceremonial event recognized the successful completion of extensive military and technical training by the recruits, serving as their formal induction into the Indian Army.
Brigadier Vikram Singh Grewal, the Commander of the No. 1 Technical Training Wing, presided over the parade. In his address to the newly sworn-in Agniveers, Brigadier Grewal praised their dedication, discipline, and unwavering commitment throughout their training. He emphasized the importance of upholding the fundamental values of the Indian Army, such as courage, honour, and integrity, and encouraged the recruits to serve the nation with pride and selfless dedication.
The parade showcased outstanding drill movements and precise commands, highlighting the recruits’ training and discipline. A significant moment of the ceremony was the oath of allegiance taken by the Agniveers to uphold the Constitution of India. Their families attended the event, taking pride as their loved ones officially joined the ranks of the Armed Forces, ready to fulfill their responsibilities towards national service.
