The Border Security Force (BSF) held a significant flag-in ceremony today at its headquarters in New Delhi to celebrate the remarkable achievement of its latest endeavor, the Advance High Altitude Alpine Training and Mountaineering Expedition–2025. This rigorous expedition successfully scaled four peaks soaring over 6,000 meters in regions of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh, underscoring the tenacity and spirit of BSF personnel.
The ceremony featured the presence of Director General BSF, Shri Daljit Singh Chawdhary, who praised the mountaineering team for their exceptional bravery and unwavering determination throughout the expedition. Notably, the team included six women personnel, a testament to BSF’s commitment to fostering gender inclusivity within demanding operational and adventurous roles.
During his address, DG Chawdhary spoke about the vital role of physical fitness within the force and urged personnel to engage more in sports and adventure activities. He emphasized that such participation not only enhances individual capabilities but also contributes to the broader mission of bringing honor and recognition to the nation and the BSF.
In acknowledgment of the team’s extraordinary accomplishment, the Director General announced a cash reward of ₹5 lakh to be distributed among the expedition members. He further assured that BSF athletes demonstrating excellence across various sports would be provided with state-of-the-art equipment and advanced training facilities, aiming to bolster their performance.
