In this post candidates can find the CDS exam eligibility for the cds exams being conducted in 2015 and 2016 to join army, navy and air force. The UPSC organize a CDS exam which is also known as Combined Defence Services Examination for recruiting the male and female for the most challenging job in our country, to join Indian armed forces i.e. Army, Air Force and Navy. CDS Exam is conducted two times in a year which provides opportunities to male and female who are looking for a career which helps them to serve for the country. The eligible candidates may apply for the test.
CDS Exam Eligibility 2015
- Nationality:
- An aspirant must be either Indian, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A Tibetan refugee who came over to India with the intention of permanent staying in India before January 1st, 1962, or An aspirant of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Srilanka, Burma or East African countries of Kenya, The United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire and Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently staying in India.
- Age Limit:
- Indian Military Academy:Â 21 – 23 Years
- Indian Naval Academy:Â 21 – 22 Years
- Indian Air Force Academy:Â 21 – 22 Years
- For Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for Men):Â 21 – 24 Years
- CDS Exam Eligibility for Girls:
- For Officers Training Academy (OTA) Only (SSC Women Non technical Course): The unmarried girls are only applicable for the Officers Training Academy and should have been born not earlier or later than dates provided in latest notification.
- CDS Exam Eligibility for Women:
- For  Officers Training Academy (OTA) Only (SSC Women Non technical Course): The issue less widows and the issue less divorcees who have not remarried and should have been born not earlier or later than dates provided in latest notification.
- CDS Exam Eligibility Educational Qualification:
- Army- IMA and OTA:Â The aspirants should possess graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute.
- Navy- INA:Â The aspirants must have a degree in Engineering.
- Air Force – AFA: The aspirants should have passed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics and having a degree from a recognized university or bachelor’s degree in engineering / technology.
- CDS Exam Eligibility Physical Standard:
- Candidates [ Male and Female ] must have minimum height and weight required as mentioned in the cds exam notification.
- The applicants must be physically fit as per physicals standards for seeking admission to the Combined Defense Services Examination.
- The aspirants must fulfill all these eligibility profiles for applying to sit in the examination. The applicants need to read out all these instructions carefully.

Yes, you are eligible to apply for Air Force Academy through CDS.
The eligibility criterion for selection AFA is a degree from a recognized University (with Physics and
Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Yes you can apply but you will only be eligible for Army since you dont have physics. read below:
