During a recent visit, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) engaged in a warm interaction with cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC), highlighting their enthusiasm, discipline, and commitment to service. This gathering underscored the strong, enduring bond between the Indian Army and the NCC, emphasizing their shared mission of nurturing responsible and motivated youth who are oriented towards nation-building.

At the visit’s conclusion, the COAS took the opportunity to sign the Visitors’ Book, expressing his admiration for the cadets’ high standards of discipline and conduct. He praised the NCC for its vital role in developing future leaders and instilling core values such as integrity, unity, and service among the youth of India.

In recognition of exemplary dedication, the COAS presented on-the-spot COAS Commendation Cards to several individuals, including Colonel Ranjeet Narayan, Ms. Reema Sinha, Lieutenant Rukhsana Kousar from the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate, and Havildar Santosh Patil.

Moreover, the COAS Medallion was awarded to Cadet Dushyant Cheetah and Cadet Priya Kumari, acknowledging their outstanding performance, leadership qualities, and unwavering dedication to their duties.

This visit exemplified the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to fostering excellence within the NCC, inspiring young cadets to serve the nation with honour, discipline, and a profound sense of purpose.
