The Indian Army’s esteemed Commando Course concluded at the Jungle and Jungle Warfare Wing (JL Wing) on December 25, 2025. This event marks the successful end of one of the military’s most mentally and physically demanding training programs, reinforcing its reputation for excellence in elite combat training.
This year’s course witnessed a diverse participation that included both Indian Army personnel and representatives from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFC). In total, 16 officers and five Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) completed the intensive training, highlighting India’s commitment to strengthening military relations with partner nations.
The valedictory ceremony featured a keynote address by Major General Rakesh Manocha, SM, VSM, the Commander of the JL Wing. In his speech, he commended the trainees for their unwavering resilience, remarkable grit, and enhanced combat readiness. Additionally, he took the opportunity to honor exceptional performers among the trainees.
Within the ranks of the Indian Army, Lt Jai Lamba, hailing from the Rajput Regiment, was recognized as the Best Officer Trainee. Meanwhile, lance Naik Jeewan Singh Karki of the Naga Regiment earned the title of the Best NCO Trainee.
For the participants from FFC, Lt Sudip Khadka of the Nepal Army was acknowledged as the Best Officer Trainee, while Corporal Evalistus Booysen from the Namibia Defence Force received accolades as the Best NCO Trainee.
The successful conclusion of this rigorous course underscores the Indian Army’s dedication to fostering elite training, promoting joint learning, and enhancing international military cooperation. These efforts aim to cultivate leaders capable of performing effectively in the most challenging operational environments, reinforcing regional stability and collaboration.
