  • The Government Has Instituted A New Set Of National Awards In The Field Of Science, Technology And Innovation Known As ‘Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar’.
  • This Award Is Meant To Recognize The Notable And Inspiring Contribution Made By Scientists, Technologists, And Innovators In Various Fields Of Science, Technology And Technology-Led Innovation.

  • The Award Is In Four Categories, Which Include Vigyan Ratna, Vigyan Shri, Vigyan Yuva-Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar, And Vigyan Team.
  • The Nominations For These Awards Will Be Invited Every Year On 14th January Till 28th February The National Science Day.
  • These Awards Will Be Announced On 11th May On The National Technology Day, And The Award Ceremony Will Be Held On 23rd August On The National Space Day Every Year.

International Congress On Chemistry Of Cement

  • India will host the International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement (ICCC) in the year 2027 in New Delhi.
  • The Commerce and Industry Ministry announced that the country won the bid to hold this event on a presentation from the National Council for Cement and Building Materials along with IIT Delhi.
  • It was presented at the ongoing 16th ICCC in Bangkok, Thailand.
  • India defeated Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates to win the bid.
