Uttarakhand Signs MoU with ITBP
In a significant move to enhance healthcare services in remote border regions, the Uttarakhand government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) under the initiative ‘Swasth Seema Abhiyan’.
The agreement aims to improve medical facilities for residents of hard-to-reach border villages. Under this initiative, integrated primary healthcare services will be provided to 108 border villages located in the districts of Pithoragarh, Chamoli, and Uttarkashi. These areas face geographical and infrastructural challenges, making access to healthcare difficult. The program will be implemented in phases, beginning with the most remote villages.
