Australia To Host Of 10-day Malabar Exercise
- The latest edition of the Malabar exercise is all set to commence in Australian waters from August 11-21 which will see the participation of the United States, Japan, India and Australia.
- Australia is also the host for this mega event which is being hosted there ‘for the first time’.
- The ten-day exercise aims to deepen the interoperability b/w the key partners, Australia, India, Japan and the United States who are also members of the Quad or the Quadrilateral security dialogue.

Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures delivers the 200th C-130J Super Hercules
- Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Ltd said it has achieved the milestone of delivering the 200th C-130J Super Hercules empennage. The company, a joint venture b/w Tata Advanced Systems Ltd and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, said its empennages — the tail structure located at the rear of an aircraft — are included in C-130Js operated by seven nations, including India.
- Tata Lockheed Martin Aerostructures Ltd has the distinction of being the single global source of C-130J empennage assemblies that are installed on all new Super Hercules aircraft produced in Marietta, Georgia, in the US.
- In March this year, Lockheed Martin and Tata Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding to begin the implementation of fighter wing production after the team at TLMAL demonstrated the capability to produce one of the most technologically complex aerostructures – a fuel-carrying 9G, 12,000-hour, interchangeable/replaceable fighter wing.
General Manoj Pande Left For The UK
- General Manoj Pande, COAS left for the United Kingdom, to review the 201st Sovereign’s Parade of Commissioning Course 223 at the prestigious Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst as the Sovereign’s Representative.
- The Sovereign’s Parade at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is a reputed event, known for its illustrious history and the passing out of officer cadets from across the globe. General Manoj Pande is the first Chief of the Army Staff from India to be the Sovereign’s Representative for the parade.
- This visit marks a momentous milestone in strengthening the diplomatic, military, and cultural ties between the two nations. It bears testimony to the enduring camaraderie that has flourished over the years, promoting mutual cooperation and understanding in the realms of defence and security.
Exercise ‘Zayed Talwar’
- Under the command of Rear Admiral Vineet McCarty, the Flag Officer Commanding the Western Fleet arrived at Port Rashid in Dubai to conduct a bilateral exercise ‘Zayed Talwar’ to enhance interoperability and synergy between the two navies.
