Galvion, a leading provider of advanced helmet systems, has secured multiple orders to deliver a total of 35,000 Batlskin helmet systems to a variety of customers in the Middle East. Among the extensive portfolio of products offered, the orders comprise two distinct variants: the Batlskin PDxT and the Batlskin VIPER. While the specific financial details and terms of the contracts remain undisclosed, Galvion has highlighted that one of the clients is a long-term partner in the region, having previously ordered over 100,000 helmets for military and security applications in the last decade.
The Batlskin PDxT helmet is lauded for its battle-tested design, which has been utilized in numerous international defense programs. Notable features of the PDxT include its innovative design that integrates a combat helmet-style front with a smooth ear transition and a ridged back. This structure not only enhances durability but also provides superior rear ballistic protection, ensuring user safety in high-risk environments.
On the other hand, the Batlskin VIPER helmets are crafted from aramid fiber and come in various configurations tailored to specific operational needs. The VIPER A3 model is particularly designed for law enforcement use, catering to special weapons and tactics (SWAT) teams who require both agility and robust protection. The P2 configuration of the VIPER prioritizes a lighter weight, allowing for easier maneuverability while still delivering exceptional ballistic and impact protection. Additionally, the VIPER A1 Special Edition models are offered in coyote brown and come complete with a custom camouflage cover and a specialized helmet bag for added convenience and discretion.
Both the PDxT and VIPER helmets incorporate Galvion’s Modular Suspension System, which significantly enhances comfort and promotes airflow, making them suitable for extended wear during demanding missions.
Galvion’s reputation for quality and reliability is further exemplified through its global supply of helmets, including partnerships with NATO forces. Recently, the company finalized three orders with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, which included Batlskin Caiman helmets being supplied to Norway, Finland, and Sweden. Moreover, Canada has engaged in several contracts with Galvion in recent times, placing an order for 10,500 helmets as part of its efforts to equip its armed forces effectively.
These recent contracts underscore Galvion’s growing presence and impact in the defense sector, solidifying its commitment to providing high-quality protective gear tailored to the needs of armed forces and security agencies around the world.
