General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), delivered a compelling address to the future leaders of the Indian Armed Forces during the Joint Capsule (JOCAP) at the Tri-Services War Colleges, held at the Army War College (AWC) in Mhow. The publication is an essential repository of research and analysis on military technology, contributing significantly to India’s defence preparedness by monitoring global technological trends and their applications in military contexts.
Established as the College of Combat, the Army War College (AWC) in Mhow has played a pivotal role in training senior officers across all three services in critical areas such as warfare tactics, logistics, and military doctrine. Having been renamed in 2003, the AWC has evolved into a hub for joint military education, offering advanced courses like the Higher Command Course (HCC), which culminates in a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Defence Management.
The annual five-week JOCAP program conducted at AWC aims to cultivate tri-service synergy through strategic discussions, operational wargames, and developmental initiatives for leadership. This initiative has welcomed numerous senior military officers from all three services, emphasizing the significance of joint operational planning and inter-service cooperation in the context of contemporary conflicts.
