The All India Vayu Sainik Camp (AIVSC) 2025 officially commenced at Air Force Station Jalahalli in Bengaluru, inaugurated by Air Vice Marshal Bijo John Mammen, Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration, Headquarters Training Command, Indian Air Force. Scheduled to run from September 18 to 29, this event signifies a crucial component of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) training calendar.

Notably, this year marks a historic milestone with the participation of cadets from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, alongside representatives from all 17 NCC directorates across India. This inclusion emphasizes the NCC’s commitment to fostering national integration and providing equal opportunities in youth development through military training.

The camp promises a dynamic range of activities designed to enhance skills and discipline among the youth. Cadets will engage in microlight flying, drone operations, aeromodelling, and various firing drills, along with competitive events aimed at cultivating leadership qualities. The growing interest in aviation and unmanned systems among cadets is evident, with participation in these domains having seen a staggering rise of nearly 40% in recent years.

Eligible cadets for the AIVSC were selected via a thorough process involving Inter-Group Competitions and Pre-Vayu Sainik Camps conducted nationwide. As preparation for the elite training program, several state contingents, including those from Maharashtra, made their way to Bengaluru on September 17.

In his address to the cadets, Air Vice Marshal Mammen emphasized the significance of the camp in shaping future leaders, instilling discipline, and promoting a spirit of service. Additionally, the program incorporates educational tours to leading aerospace and defense organizations, providing cadets with invaluable, hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.

The AIVSC 2025 not only champions youth empowerment but also reinforces the NCC’s pivotal role in nurturing national pride, character development, and preparing the next generation of leaders.
