In a tragic accident on 7th Jan 2021, the Indian Army lost Captain Ankit Gupta, one young officer from 10 PARA Special Forces. The unfortunate incident happened during a training exercise in Rajasthan. Captain Ankit Gupta was taking part in a specialist operation exercise in which he jumped from a helicopter into the Kaylana lake near Jodhpur city of Rajasthan, he was missing after the jump. The body was finally traced on the sixth day of a massive search by around 200 personnel from all three services.

Captain Ankit was just 28 years old and recently married in 2020. The life of a PARA SF soldier is always a challenge and they go through life-threatening tasks in their day-to-day activities. The nation will remember Captain Ankit for his supreme sacrifice.
