The incident occurred on March 30, 2025, at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, where Captain Tak, while on leave, promptly responded to assist a civilian who was experiencing a complete airway obstruction.
Exhibiting remarkable composure and medical expertise, Captain Tak administered emergency first aid that is believed to have significantly reduced the risk of a fatal outcome. Research from the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery underscores the importance of such immediate responses; statistics indicate that trained responders can lower mortality rates from airway obstructions by as much as 40 percent.
