The Indian Army has moved to dispel rumors regarding a supposed ceasefire violation by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir. In an official statement issued on Tuesday, Army officials clarified that there has been “NO ceasefire violation along the Line of Control” and urged the public to refrain from circulating unverified claims.
This clarification comes in light of media reports alleging a ceasefire breach occurring in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district. Army officials emphasized that the situation along the LoC is currently calm and remains under control.
Defence sources have further underscored that the agreement established in 2021 between India and Pakistan to uphold the 2003 ceasefire understanding remains effective. They noted that both nations have generally adhered to the terms of the agreement in recent years, contributing to a more stable environment along the disputed border.
By addressing these rumors, the Army aims to counter misinformation and reinforce the commitment to maintaining peace and security in the region.
