Lieutenant General RC Tiwari, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Eastern Command, recently visited the newly established FPV Drone Node at the Agnirath Brigade, highlighting the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to technological innovation and self-reliance in defense applications.
During his visit, Lt Gen Tiwari received a comprehensive briefing on the capabilities and initiatives of the drone node. He had the opportunity to observe the in-house drone fabrication facility where troops are engaged in the design, assembly, and testing of FPV (First Person View) drones intended for operational deployment. The demonstration showcased a range of training modules, including both simulator-based practices and live flight sessions, reflecting a significant emphasis on skill development and tactical innovation within the Army.
Impressed by the innovative spirit and technical expertise of the personnel, Lt Gen Tiwari commended their efforts and highlighted the importance of technology absorption as a vital step in bolstering India’s defense readiness through indigenous solutions. He urged the troops to persist in their exploration and integration of homegrown technologies in their production efforts, aligning with the broader vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, or Self-Reliant India.
