The soldier, originally from Baseli village in the Badhpur block of Farrukhabad district in Uttar Pradesh, was critically injured due to an avalanche while performing his duties in the unforgiving glacial environment. Despite immediate rescue efforts and subsequent medical treatment, he succumbed to his injuries at a military hospital.
Havildar Kuldeep had dedicated himself to serving the nation since 2011, having joined the Indian Army through a recruitment rally held in Fatehgarh. He was a valued member of the 872 Light Regiment Artillery, specifically assigned to high-altitude deployments.
