The Commando Course of the Indian Army concluded on October 31, 2025, at the Junior Leaders Wing (JLW) in Belagavi, marking the successful completion of one of the most challenging and demanding training programs within the armed forces. This intensive course is meticulously designed to assess physical endurance, tactical proficiency, and leadership in extreme stress environments.

This year’s course featured participants not only from the Indian Army but also included four Junior Leaders from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs): Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, and the Philippines. Their involvement highlights the Indian Army’s commitment to promoting global military cooperation and shared learning experiences among allied nations.

At the closing ceremony, Major General Rakesh Manocha, Commander of the Junior Leaders Wing, addressed the attendees and recognized outstanding achievements among the participants. Sepoy Rajendar Singh Khati of the 22 KUMAON Regiment emerged as the Best Student of the course, celebrated for his exceptional performance, discipline, and leadership qualities demonstrated throughout the rigorous training.

Furthermore, Corporal Jay Lord C Pasaraba of the Philippine Army was honored as the Best Foreign Student. This award exemplifies the camaraderie and professionalism cultivated among the diverse group of participants from various nations.

The Commando Course at JLW Belagavi maintains its prestigious legacy of producing battle-ready military leaders. Graduates leave the program equipped with the mental resilience, tactical knowledge, and operational excellence necessary for modern warfare.

The closing ceremony not only reaffirmed the pivotal role of the Junior Leaders Wing in shaping future military leaders but also emphasized the importance of strengthening relationships between India and its friendly foreign partners through collaborative training and mutual respect.
