After the detention of Imran Khan the ex-prime minister of Pakistan, the condition of Pakistan is been worsen. It has been reported that the Indian Defence Forces is keeping a close watch on Pakistan’s every movement. Indian Forces are on a vigil and are having a close watch on the situation. It has also been reported that strong developments have also taken place along the border and LoC. PTI chief Imran Khan was arrested on Tuesday at the premises of Islamabad High Court in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case.

Pakistan Army: A Major Concern

A major concern is that Pakistan Army may try to open new fronts along the border by putting the blame on Indian forces or by other means so that the overall attention from the country’s worsening situation may be shifted towards any other political agenda. Pakistani Army had not cut down the troops from the border but if the situation gets worse, they will have to do so. Also, it has been said that Pakistan Army will do everything possible to keep the situation in its hands and not let go of power.

Following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday afternoon, several violent protests erupted across Pakistan, including at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and the residence of the Corps Commander in Lahore, which was once the home of Mohammed Ali Jinnah.

People across Pakistan have come to the streets, resorted to violence, arson, and even chanted several slogans in protest of the detention of ex-PM of Pakistan and PTI head Imran Khan, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Faisalabad, Karachi, Quetta, Mardan, Bannu, and Chilas. Stones were thrown at houses, buildings, and vehicles, banners and tires were burned, and highways were blocked. Several videos that have surfaced on social media sites show groups of individuals, some with their faces disguised, entering the guarded premises of GHQ with sticks that they later used to hit the walls.

Civilians were seen vandalizing the Pak Army GHQ and the home of the Corps Commander, which has dominated the country since its independence, reflecting Imran Khan’s growing popularity. According to the National Accountability Bureau, Khan has been detained in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case. The arrest warrants were issued by the NAB chief on May 1, according to the article.
