Indian Navy Invites Applications for 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme – July 2025 Batch
The Indian Navy has announced a golden opportunity for young and aspiring individuals to become Permanent Commissioned Officers in the Executive and Technical branches through the 10+2 B.Tech Cadet Entry Scheme. Applications are invited from unmarried men and women, who fulfill the nationality conditions laid down by the Government of India, for a four-year B.Tech course at the prestigious Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala.
🔹 Vacancies and Age Criteria
- Total Vacancies: 44
- Gender Eligibility: Both men and women (Maximum 6 vacancies for women)
- Age Limit: Candidates must be born between 02 Jul 2006 and 01 Jan 2009 (inclusive).
- Branch Allocation: Final branch allocation (Executive or Technical – Engineering & Electrical) will be done at INA.
🔹 Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification:
- Must have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary Examination) or equivalent with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), and 50% marks in English (either in Class X or XII).
2. JEE (Main) 2025 Requirement:
- Only candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) 2025 (for B.E./B.Tech) are eligible.
- Shortlisting for SSB Interview will be based on the All India Common Rank List (CRL) published by NTA.
🔹 Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting: Based on JEE (Main) CRL 2025 rank.
- SSB Interview: Conducted at Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam from September 2025 onwards.
- Communication: Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email and SMS.
- Travel Allowance: AC 3-tier fare will be reimbursed for first-time SSB applicants for this entry.
- Final Selection: Based on SSB performance, medical fitness, and police & character verification.
🔹 Medical and Physical Standards
- Candidates must meet the medical standards as specified by the Indian Navy.
- No relaxation in height, weight, or other standards will be granted.
- Tattoo and narcotic use policies are strictly enforced.
🔹 Training and Degree
- Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for a four-year B.Tech course in:
- Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- The degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) after successful completion.
- The cost of training, books, and clothing will be fully borne by the Indian Navy.
