Organised by the International Association of Agricultural Economists, the conference will continue until August 7. In 65 years, this is the first time that ICAE will be held in India.

About The Conference

  • International Conference of Agricultural Economists was first established in 1929 by Leonard Elmhirst in Devon, England. It aims to bring together top agricultural economists and scholars to discuss global agricultural issues.

  • The conference is organized by the International Association of Agricultural Economists (IAAE) in collaboration with several key institutions, including the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics, the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), the Agricultural Economics Research Association (India), the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, and the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event, which will gather approximately 1,000 delegates, including agricultural economists from leading universities and institutions across 75 countries, with 45% of the participants being women.
