Israel’s rescue services reported a drone strike on a residential structure in northern Israel, specifically in the Beit She’an valley near the border with Jordan. This incident occurred amid a series of attacks attributed to Iranian forces, which have seen heightened military activity since the onset of conflict on June 13.
The Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service, confirmed that a two-storey building was hit by the drone. Although the damage was significant, initial reports indicated that there were no visible casualties at the time of the rescue team’s arrival.
In addition to this drone strike, the Israeli military has recorded the interception of more than 450 missiles and approximately 400 drones originating from Iranian forces since the war began. Despite the frequency and intensity of these attacks, specific details regarding the locations of strikes are often kept confidential under strict military censorship regulations. However, information from the National Public Diplomacy Directorate acknowledged at least 50 impact sites across Israel.
The escalation of violence is further evidenced by an attack on a building in Haifa during the previous day, which resulted in injuries to at least 19 individuals. Haifa, along with Tel Aviv and Beersheba, has become a frequent target in these ongoing hostilities.
Photographs taken at the site of the drone strike in Beit She’an displayed extensive damage, including a large hole in the building and a crater nearby, likely caused by the explosives. Furthermore, the Israeli military reported sightings and interceptions of several drones over northern Israel on Saturday morning, following a substantial barrage of 40 drones the night before.
Since the war commenced, casualties have increased, with official reports indicating that 25 individuals have lost their lives in Israel as a result of the ongoing violence. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to navigate this conflict.
