Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, recently visited the Headquarters for Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Goa Area. During his visit, he praised the formation’s outstanding operational readiness and its sustained efforts in training, capacity building, and welfare initiatives.
The Army Commander highlighted the Area Headquarters’ commitment to maintaining elevated levels of preparedness and operational efficiency throughout its extensive area of responsibility. He commended the team for their proactive training initiatives, consistent infrastructure development, and robust logistic support that collectively enhance the overall combat capability of the Southern Command.
In his address to the officers and troops, Lt Gen Seth emphasized the critical importance of adaptability, teamwork, and ongoing professional development. He pointed out that facing evolving security challenges necessitates agile leadership, technical proficiency, and cooperation across different services to maintain operational superiority.
Additionally, the General Officer reviewed ongoing welfare and outreach initiatives aimed at benefiting serving personnel, veterans, and their families. He acknowledged the Headquarters’ efforts to bolster veteran engagement mechanisms, reaffirming that supporting ex-servicemen is a fundamental aspect of the Command’s mission.
