Lieutenant General Hitesh Bhalla, who serves as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Fire and Fury Corps, recently conducted a comprehensive review of the operational readiness of military units stationed in the high-altitude regions of Ladakh. This assessment aimed to evaluate how well these troops are equipped to manage one of the most demanding operational environments in the country.
During the review, units participated in a rigorous four-day Validation Exercise, which offered a glimpse into their combat readiness and cohesiveness as a unit. The exercise revealed the troops’ capacity to adeptly utilize new-generation battlefield technologies, thereby significantly enhancing their combat effectiveness.
General Bhalla praised the soldiers for their professionalism, adaptability, and the high standards they maintained during training. He emphasized their remarkable resilience and readiness to confront the evolving operational challenges posed by the harsh high-altitude terrain.
In his remarks, he urged the formations to sustain their momentum of operational excellence. He highlighted the importance of continuous innovation and the integration of advanced technologies as crucial elements in ensuring comprehensive preparedness for future challenges. General Bhalla reiterated the necessity for the troops to remain vigilant in safeguarding national interests, particularly in the strategically essential Ladakh sector.
